What is teletherapy?

Teletherapy is a practical and efficient way to get the therapy you need. Simply use a unique link on your device to get started. Surprisingly, teletherapy can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy. You can speak with a psychologist from the comfort of your own home, car, or office without worrying about your privacy. This online service is designed for individuals to process and explore their thoughts, behaviours, and emotions. Meetings typically occur weekly or bi-weekly, and you can book sessions at your convenience. Additionally, Medicare Rebate is also available for eligible individuals.

Are teletherapy appointments free?

Provided you have a valid referral from your GP called a Mental Health Treatment Plan and a valid Medicare card you will be eligible to access to 10 bulk billed (Free) Psychology sessions each calendar year. A new referral from your GP is required at the 1st and 7th appointment.

Wellness groups unfortunately are not covered by Medicare.

Do I need a referral to see a psychologist?

To access Medicare bulk billing, you will need a valid referral from your GP, called a Mental Health Treatment Plan. However, if you don't have a referral, you can still have sessions with a psychologist for a fee.

You don’t need a referral for wellness groups, anyone can join.

How many sessions do I need?

Your psychologist will work collaboratively with you to determine your goals for therapy and how many sessions would be appropriate.

Where are sessions located?

We are an online service located in Australia. All appointments, workshops and wellness groups will be held online. Once you have filled in the intake form and booked your appointments. You will be sent an unique video link code that you can use to attend appointments.

Where is the Psychologist located during our Video Telehealth appointment?

Your psychologist is located in a private and quiet space, either in their home office or consulting rooms. Your appointment is treated with the same privacy and confidentiality as an in person appointment.

What if i have trouble with my internet connection?

You can continue your appointment over the telephone. Your psychologist will call your mobile if you don't join the Video link within the first 10 minutes of your appointment. We will also send you an SMS to check in and see how you are tracking for your appointment.
